Lesaffre Jordan "Astrico" has established in 1974 in Zarqa city in the middle of Jordan and known as a leading company for fresh and dry yeast in Jordan market. Depending on our group philosophy and responsibility, we are serving around 2000 customers in Jordan directly using our own capabilities to keep us closer to our partners. With different solutions that we are providing to the markets, Astrico is the main provider of yeast in Jordan, as well as the bread improvers, mixes and ready mixes. In 2022 Astrico enhanced the portfolio by launching pastry range which made Astrico a unique source for different solutions that help the bakeries to grow. We believe in our mission to work together for better nourish and to protect the planet and based on that we prioritize human capital in the same level of our care to operations. With our strict protocols for quality management and with the help of our baking center, we are always confident about the quality of our products that we provide to our partners.

History

Lesaffre, which was established as a family-owned enterprise in 1853 in France, serves today as the closest local business partner of its users worldwide by means of its multinational structure. With its 77 production facilities and over 11,000 employees, the Lesaffre expertise comprises a wide production, sales, and R&D network across 5 continents, in over 185 countries.

As the very first company in the world to produce industrial yeast, we continue to set standards and to improve them in the realms of bakery products, food flavorings, health and nutrition, and industrial biotechnology products.

As we produce functional products on a wide product range with the power of our foresight and vision generated by the knowledge and the background, we have been accumulating for over a century, we also strive to transfer our expertise to future generations.
